Hofstra University's Summer Science Research Program (HUSSRP)
Department of Biology, School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
Description
Hofstra University’s Summer Science Research Program (HUSSRP) provides high school students with the opportunity to conduct on-campus research alongside Hofstra faculty across a range of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, psychology, computer science, engineering, sociology, geology, mathematics, and public health. Admission is competitive and requires a completed online application and a teacher recommendation. Students are selected based on academic performance, an interview, faculty recommendations, and mentor availability. The program typically runs throughout July and concludes with a poster session where students present their research. This event is open to participants, their families, and their teachers.
