Description

As a grant-funded office with 3 pre-collegiate and collegiate grants the focus is on academic and social development specifically for college and career preparation on and off campus, encouraging underrepresented students in the STEM fields and motivating students to graduate high school. Through the Hofstra Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) and Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP) local schools participate in programming such as mentoring, tutoring, classes, college tours and field trips for grades 7-12 through our Saturday and Summer Scholars Academy year-round. Our sister program the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) serves Hofstra students in the STEM and pre-licensed fields in mentoring, tutoring and more. Many of these students are commuters and live in the metropolitan NY area
