Description
The Tax Society offers Hofstra students the opportunity to connect and network with local accounting firms as well as gain real-life experience through the VITA program, run in conjunction with the IRS. Students can volunteer to file tax returns for low-income residents throughout Long Island, providing them with a hands-on learning experience in communicating with clients, utilizing tax software, and a chance for community service.
